Goldman's Steakhouse ("we", "us") operates this website at goldmanssteakhouse.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written to align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India).

What we collect

This website has no forms and collects nothing from you as you browse. We only hold information you send us directly — by WhatsApp, phone or email. Specifically:

• Reservation, private event and catering enquiries — your name, phone number, email address (if you write to us), preferred branch, event date, party size, and whatever you tell us about the occasion.
• Club membership — if you message us to join the Club, we record your name, phone number, birthday and (optionally) anniversary, and take that message as your consent to receive birthday and anniversary wishes and occasional offers on WhatsApp. You can opt out anytime by replying STOP.
• Basic analytics — when we add analytics in the future (Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel), the site will collect aggregated, anonymised usage data such as pages viewed and approximate location. We'll update this policy before that goes live.

We do not collect payment information on this website. All payments happen in-person at the restaurant or through third-party services (Swiggy, Zomato, EazyDiner) whose own privacy policies apply.

How we use it

• To respond to your reservation or catering enquiry.
• To confirm and remind you of bookings (by phone or WhatsApp, if you've opted in).
• To send occasional offers, birthday/anniversary wishes, or new menu announcements — only if you've explicitly opted in.
• To improve our service based on what you tell us.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties for their marketing.

Who processes your data on our behalf

A small number of trusted service providers help us operate the site. We share only what they need:

• Hosting, CDN and storage — the website runs on Cloudflare, and Club membership details are stored in a Cloudflare database that only our team can reach, behind a password. Standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested) may be retained for security and performance, typically for 30 days.
• WhatsApp — enquiries and Club signups reach us as ordinary WhatsApp messages, which Meta processes under its own data policy. When we begin sending WhatsApp updates at scale, we'll use an authorised WhatsApp Business Solution Provider (BSP), who process messages under the same policy.

Your rights

Under Indian law, you have the right to:

• Ask us what personal data we hold about you.
• Have inaccurate or out-of-date data corrected.
• Have your data deleted (subject to any legal obligations to retain it).
• Withdraw consent for WhatsApp marketing at any time — reply "STOP" to any message we send, or email us.
• Raise a grievance about how we've handled your data.

Cookies

The site currently uses no cookies beyond what's strictly necessary for it to function. When we add analytics in the future, we'll show a notice and let you choose.

Children

This site and the services described are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data — for example, when we launch WhatsApp marketing or analytics — we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll also tell you when you next visit the site.
